Why I love nostalgia
Today I got some juicy new quotes from my weekly reading at Bogazici University, dicking around while everyone else is gnashing their teach doing equations.
"In psychological anamnesis it is not a question of reality, but of truth, because the effect of a full word is to reorder the past contingent events by conferring on them the sense of necessities to come, just as they are constituted by the little liberty through which the subject makes them present."
"What we teach the subject is to recognize as his unconscious is his history - that is to say, we help him perfect the contemporary historization of the facts which have already determined a certain number of the historical "turning points" in his existence. But if they have played their role, it is already as facts of history, that is to say, in so far as they have been recognized in one particular sense or censored in certain order"
